Premium gouged and shaped cane is carefully sorted and gouged on a Reeds 'n Stuff gouger and shaped using a Reeds 'n Stuff shaping machine. Please note that the listed shapes do not match the standard foldover shaper tips.

Ghys cane is harvested from the same fields as the historical "Madame Ghys" that has been a favorite of oboists for many decades. Ghys has a slightly higher than average density and yields a slightly higher than average number of usable pieces.  The wall thickness is average.
